Kurt works on projects where his interest in design and art intersect and come into play. “I am inspired by land art, minimalism, and performance. And I love tinkering with old string instruments, no matter how humble in origin. Whether they become richer or just quirkier, age gives them a distinctive sound” These passions, for the resonance of earthworks or timbre of music, operate where form and craft lead to powerful feeling.
Kurt is an Associate and joined the firm in 2019, bringing experience working on large mixed-use developments. At TenBerke, Kurt has worked in the design phases of those projects where our design must evoke powerful ideas: our Residential Colleges at Princeton and The Women’s Building. Today, Kurt is a project architect for our project for the Physical Sciences and Engineering at Yale University.
