Did you know that most Truffle hunting tours in Italy are just for show? Truffles are strategically hidden before a tour so that guides can impress high-paying visitors. This is just one of the many discoveries Lynette has made on her adventurous travels, which she credits to a multicultural upbringing and an insatiable curiosity. A meticulous researcher, Lynette is always keen to understand the world on more than just a surface level. She has a particular love of historical botanical drawings for their combination of aesthetics and technicality. “It’s a beautiful composition of a plant in all of its stages throughout the seasons.”
Lynette’s primary focus in her work is on designing spaces that are adaptive, useful, and delightful. She takes a large-scale view of the technical design of a space, beginning with proportion and general comfort, and then zooms in to smaller, more tangible details that make spaces truly unique. At TenBerke, Lynette’s work includes commercial and institutional projects such as student housing for Brown and Princeton Universities; the University of Virginia’s hotel and conference center; Strathmore Square; and the 21c Museum Hotels. Lynette received her Bachelor of Design degree from the University of Florida and earned both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis.
