Kiki leads our Interior Design practice area with Caroline. She is attentive to all dimensions of daily life: she also designs many of our workspace and office projects. Immersed in color theory, Kiki makes environments known for their sophisticated color palette, textural layering and balance. Does this make her something of an environmental artist?
“In fact, I enjoy reading about ecology and farming in my free time, and I am planning my future tiny house. Craft and sustainability are important touchstones, and I especially enjoy working with furniture makers, artisans and dealers to curate the special pieces that embody the spirit of the place and people who inhabit it.”
Kiki’s practice of design borrows from this interest: hers is a philosophy of working with, rather than against, nature. This is true of all her projects, from her residential work, to the Brooklyn Heights Designer Show House, to her Park Avenue Offices project. Today Kiki is leading the interiors of our house in East Hampton, among several projects. Kiki’s first job was at Deborah Berke Partners in 2000. She rejoined the practice in 2015 and became a Principal of TenBerke in 2019. Kiki received a B.A. at Ithaca College, and an Associate in Applied Science in Interior Design degree from the New York School of Interior Design. Kiki is on the Board of the Decorators Club in New York.
