The 122 Community Arts Center received a national design award from the Society of Registered Architects. The project renovated an old school building and added a new addition wrapped in a new luminous metal scrim. A new double height theater was added to the top floor, creating a large, column-free black box space. The 122 Community Arts Center houses two theater organizations, a dance incubator, a visual arts group with a gallery and studios, and a social services organization. Congratulations to all the other winners!
