The Yale Corporation voted to reappoint Deborah Berke to a second five-year term as Dean of the Yale School of Architecture. “Dean Berke’s first term has been a period of growth. She led efforts to increase financial aid by more than 60 percent and enhanced the excellence and diversity of the school’s faculty and student body. She helped create a new undergraduate major in Urban Studies, which bridges multiple disciplines. She recruited field-changing faculty members to the school and supported the creation of the Yale Center for Ecosystems in Architecture,” wrote Yale President Peter Salovey in his announcement. Her second term will begin effective July 1, 2021.
